Community Service

Giving Back to Rebuild Lives and Communities

At the Legacy Reentry Foundation, our Community Service Program is specifically designed for justice-impacted individuals who are required to complete court-ordered community service as a form of restitution. This program is not a volunteer initiative for general community beautification projects; rather, it provides participants with structured opportunities to fulfill their legal obligations while contributing positively to the community.

Program Objectives:
  • Restorative Justice: Enable participants to make amends by engaging in meaningful service projects that benefit the community.

  • Skill Development: Assist individuals in building essential work and life skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, which are crucial for successful reintegration into society.

  • Community Engagement: Foster positive connections between participants and community members, helping to rebuild trust and support networks.

Program Activities:

Participants may be involved in various projects, including:

  • Assisting with upkeep and maintenance of Legacy Reentry Foundation buildings and grounds.

  • Assisting with Legacy-involved community events and outreach programs.

These activities are carefully selected to ensure they align with the goals of restitution and personal development.

Benefits of Participation:
  • Fulfilling Legal Requirements: Complete court-mandated service hours in a supportive and structured environment.

  • Personal Growth: Gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment through active community involvement.

  • Professional Development: Enhance resumes with practical experience and newly acquired skills, aiding in future employment opportunities.

Collaboration with Local Entities:

We work closely with courts, probation officers, and local organizations to identify service opportunities that meet judicial requirements and have a meaningful impact on the community.
